BTM Die Sets for Inexpensive Clinching

Combine clinching tools with other processes in a die set to reduce your assembly costs.

A Low Cost Assembly Solution

BTM's purpose built die sets for clinching sheet metal are an ideal way to inexpensively assemble your part by utilizing an existing stamping press. BTM has the design and build capability to offer a variety of solutions including large & complex die sets which perform multiple operations simultaneously- such as combining clinch joints with hole piercing or bending of the part. Fixed and/or dynamic gauging is also utilized to meet the GD&T feature tolerances required to make your parts less expensive and easier to assemble.

Typical Applications

This video shows two custom die sets- each simultaneously joining two brackets to a rail. The brackets are attached using a total of 4 Tog-L-Loc joints per assembly & the materials are joined from the thinner material to the thicker material.
